Career Week

This week we learned about the different JOBS that people have and how they do them. We learned more about what Munchkin wants to be when she grows up. And yes we did read a lot this week.

We learned about Librarians, Mail Carrier, Doctor, Firefighter, Zoologist, and Veterinarian.

Circle Time

Memorization

•  Practice 911 on a play phone (It is also Fire safety week so we focus on that all week)

Language Activities

• Talk to the Mailman and ask him how letters get to grandma and how long does it take to get there.
• Play Hospital and play all the different types of doctors.. baby doctor, eye doctor, heart doctor
• What would you do if... FIRE
• Talk to a volunteer at the Zoo about what they do if an animal is sick 
• Help Family take care of animals. Dogs, Cats, Horses, Bunny

Fine Motor

• Make Bookmark
• Play operation
• Firepup. Cut out his fire coat and paste it on. Color in
• Color pictures of favorite animals from the zoo
• Draw a picture of what you want to be when you grow up

 Learning Games

• Mail Box match
• Record Heart Beat - slow activities, fast activities and watch heart beat change
• Put out the Fire - lite matches and blow it out, cover it to take air away, and pour water on it.
• Visit the Como Zoo during feeding time *Make Thank you card
• Visit Petsmart and Banfield Pet Hospital - Talk to vet assistant and watch what they do with dogs that come into vet. *Make Thank you card

Gross Motor

• Play in the Child's play area at the library and read a book there
• Wash hands to ABC song
• Climb the Ladder (with help) - practice walking up and down
• Visit the Como Zoo during feeding time
• Visit Petsmart and Banfield Pet Hospital - Talk to vet assistant and watch what they do with dogs that come into vet.
