How I Do Preschool at Home

I first off plan all my lessons usually on Sundays. I do do research through the week after my daughter is fast asleep in bed, but the whole lesson comes together on Sundays. I have also transformed our living room, and hallway into a preschool wall as much as I can.

I made a learning poster for Alexa that covers the theme of the week, vocabulary word, sight words, color and shape, letter, number, and nursery rhyme/scripture verse for the week. We go over it every day and test our memory of what everything is and what we have learned the past few days.

Then we move on to the posters that are in the hallway and living room. I have the alphabet, numbers 1 through 10 and numbers 1 through 100, shapes, Alexa's information (Her name, birth date, phone number, and her parents names) (I will not include a picture of it due to security), and a calendar that has days of the week, what is today, tomorrow, and yesterday, and the weather.

Every morning Alexa and I get up and eat breakfast in our pajams and watch a few morning cartoons. Then we quick get ready and start school. First starting with 'Circle Time', even though we don't do everything in a circle everywhere. Then we move on to our activities. The number one thing I love about Homeschooling is if we need a little extra time on a project we can and we don't have to hurry rush and stop to move on to the next activities. Same with reading and writing activities, since some of them Alexa needs more time to grasp what I am teaching her.
